Shannon Davis Designs aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA — the recognized standard for making web content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What's Being Improved
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a checkbox. Here's where Shannon is actively focused:
Image descriptions: She's working through the portfolio to ensure every image includes meaningful alternative text so that screen reader users can fully experience the work.
Color and contrast: Text and interactive elements across the site are being reviewed to ensure strong contrast ratios that are easy to read for everyone.
Keyboard navigation: The site structure is being optimized so that visitors who navigate without a mouse can move through the site smoothly and intuitively.
